When you said "yes" to a relationship,
Is it enough if you only like the person but not love yet?
Is it alright to later fall in love with him?

Guide to tour round Kluang, by H2M (C)
Many hometown folks ask me why I kept on bringing uni friends back to my hometown as they commented that our town is a sleepy town.
Well, precisely, Bat Town is a sleepy town with slow pace people.
However,
you dream when you sleep right?
and dreams are fun, right?
so you can find entertainment in this very little town. Here are some:
1. FOOD!
After going places and visiting other parts of Msia, I realised that actually some of Bat Town foods have the same parity as other districts.
They taste as good as foods from other parts of Msia and guess what, it's even better than some towns for example:
Kaa Jang*,Bangee* and Srem bun*!
In the morning, you can go for Kluang Railway station coffee and have a good toasts of bread and soft boiled eggs.
If you're up for some solid foods, the Wantan Mee and fish ball noodles await you.
(Wantan= chinese dumpling, filled with pork)
In the afternoon, if your friend is not a Muslim, you can bring him/her to try the BBQ pork at Sam Kee BBQ house in Jalan Lambak in front of Chi Luan Kor haha. Juicy succulent barbeque pork accompanied by generous amount of rice is a great way to have lunch :)
Or else, you can have some Botak (Baldy) Curry Mee!
One of my Sarawakian friends said that it's nice and rich :)
For teatime, there's COFFEE AGAIN! in Ha Nee Land*
(but the owner is quite arrogant so please bear with the attitude haha)
or you can have Yong Tau Fu in the shop next to Ha Nee Land. I like this shop better because it's clean and new :)
plus the owner is friendly :P
You can also have some pseudo-Malaccan dessert and Baba Nyonya Laksa in the shop which is a few shops away from Ha Nee Land haha.
In conclusion, Ha Nee Land and its adjacent shops are good places to have tea.
For dinner, there are a few chinese restaurants which are quite nice. Even though I do not deny the fact that the foods are filled with MSG, but I still love them.
Some examples include Shi Wei Tian in Intan, Sin Kwong Tong in town and Curry Fish Head in Lido cinema.
If you fancy Indian Muslim food, you can have them in NSM, an area known as Little India with a lot of pidgeons.
To be continued....
* not their real names

My penang trip part 4: the last night in Georgetown
Our last stop for that day was
Gurney drive Plaza
where it impressed me with all those branded outlets. We had a great chat in the McD there and got to know each other better too.
It’s great to know JX,
he’s a great guy with a generous heart.
He barely knows me and Ah Huang but agreed without hesitation to bring us around the island. Girls, you should really consider this type of guy? Haha
After JX sent us back to our guest house, we were on our own again. After dinner, we wanted to identify the location of the Jetty so that tomorrow we will be not fluster. Plus because of the storm yesterday night, we didn’t really finish exploring Georgetown.
We walked all the way east towards the sea and we reach the jetty area.
Prior to the jetty, we came across a bunch of people clustering in an area where there were melodies.
To our amazement, we got the opportunity to witness a Chinese opera. Even though the story was quite lame
(it’s about a paranoid prince who chased his wife out after suspecting and accusing her for having an affair) but we were awed by the makeup, music and how our Chinese culture is preserved in this island. It’s a shame, most viewers are old folks. Young people should watch it too!
Next we walked towards the jetty and see cars lining up to get ferried back to mainland.
We walked away from the jetty when the authorities there thought that we wanted to have a sneak into one of the ferries along the cars.
After a great breeze at the jetty area........................we decided to walk back to our guest house but Georgetown area is filled with lanes and we were to lazy to carry map so it took us sometime to get back to our guest house.
As we walked back to our guest house, i can't believe it too but.....
WE GOT CHASED BY WILD DOGS.
What a way to end our last day right?........
ya, don't worry, we managed to get back to our guest house, but how did we dodge off the dogs?
Just ask me personally and i'll tell...

Cold
In the dark,
where I searched for you,
I called out your names.
Your faces appear,
no warmth nor smile
as cold as ice.
Desperate,
my eyes, nose and mouth spell those words.
You are God-given,
but fall short,
never try to meet up His standards.
I still depend on you.
Back in the dark,
I'm helpless.
I reach for your hands.
Cold, as cold as the world,
are your hands.
I didn't get to grab hold.
but with scornful yaps,
you drive me away.
Why? why are we mouded from the same clay?
Why? As we are from the same soil are you such aliens to me?
Why? CAN'T YOU EVER UNDERSTAND ME?

Penang Trip part 3: What's cool on the island?
Thank God the storm was temporary.
As I was too hungry, I polished off Ah Huang’s “wantan mee”
(you guys must be scolding me for finishing her food hehe) and finished my fish ball noodles too.
Even though those were simple road side hawkers, but they dished out great delicacies!
Not forgetting the food there was extremely cheap!
RM 2.20 for a plate of “wantan mee” (I can’t even find that price in my hometown!) and RM 1.50 for a pure original just-nice apple juice!
That generally sums up our day 1.
Day 2 arrived with JX, Ah Huang’s friend coming to our guest house to pick us up.
Our first stop was the antique house. This house is owned by a very wealthy antique collector and his house was one of the setting of the
famous Singaporean Drama: the small nyonya*
Indeed, it’s the same as shown on TV, only that we had to pay a hefty RM 9 to enter it!
As we spend RM 9, we get a cute Burmese-Thai tour guide who explained in really inaudible English
(Ah Huang couldn’t understand a word he said)
and we were given the liberty to take pictures anywhere in that mansion.
After that, we carried on our trip with JX driving us to other parts of Penang Island.
As I was pestering JX to bring me back to Black water district* for its well-known and really delicious Laksa, he did. The laksa was as nice as ever!
Thick sour fish soup accompanied by black prawn sauce with silky noodles is making my mouth salivating even now!
Besides having the Laksa, we even had Char Kue Tiow and visited Kek Lok Xi*, a very big Buddhist temple with fame across south East Asia.
Next, we turned our way to Bota Nical* Garden. Ah Huang, not interested at all by the delicacies of Penang was attracted by ice cream buns sold at the entrance of the garden. Yea, she’s really funny (:S)
JX brought us to Feringghi Stony beach* too. This time, what I found amusing was Ah Huang could actually fell asleep on the winding journey to the beach whereas I was trying with great effort to control my dizziness while JX drove skillfully to tackle the bends.
When we reached there, there were huge waves and I thought they resembled a mini Tsunami. It’s quite rare according to JX and I second him because we were in the west and the west is shielded from the wind. Could it be human activities which change the wind directions? (to be continued)

Penang Trip part 2: the guest house
At first, I thought “Hey, 75 is quite cheap” but we’re on a budget trip, so we tried to look for lodges we searched on the internet which offers more at a cheaper rate.
True enough, as we walked along Leboh Culia*, the prices of rooms kept on dropping!
From RM55, 45, 35 to 25 for a double’s room!!!
I’m a miser so we settled for the RM 25 double room.
Haha, this is the interesting part.
As me and Ah Huang excitedly found this guest house which only charged us RM 25 for a room, we looked forward to entering our room as soon as possible and get a good bath.
As we walked up the stairs and the manager opened the door, Ah Huang was fine but
I was extremely shocked!!!
The rooms were only thinly separately by asbestos walls, you can hear what the tenants next door are doing or talking from your room! While Ah Huang went out for shower, I heard noises next door, people breathing hard and mattresses vibrating etc.
I don’t want to discuss what I think they are doing there.
After that, it’s my turn to take a bath, and again, Ah Huang was fine with the numbers of the toilet!!! Of the whole building there are only 2 bathrooms and tenants have to fight to get into the toilet/bathroom at peak hour! However, the bathrooms are equipped with heater, so it’s not that bad.
Next, let’s talk about the rooms, the room, or I call it cubicle, is only filled with a bed, an air-conditioner, a dustbin and a stool. That’s it! That’s so “cute”, right?
I know, I know, you might be saying: what do you expect out of RM 25 right? Don’t blame me man, I’ve always stayed in a hotel when it comes to vacations so it’s a culture shock for me.
However, the manager of this guest house is a very nice and friendly man.
Till now, Ah Huang and I can’t figure out whether he’s a Chinese, Malay or a Baba.
We didn’t even get to know his name and we regretted about it.
He’s the one who asked us whether we wanted a room, gave us great directions on where to get nearby foods and he’s a very humorous man. He made us feel comfortable in short.
Right, after bathing, Ah Huang and I went out for dinner and we followed the directions given by the friendly manager for food. Fair enough, there’s a little alleyway with people sitting on traditional stools and metal tables, those which you would only see from stalls originated from the 50’s.
We were happy to find food but suddenly, a thunder stroked! We had to eat in the storm!
It was a funny sight, I was wearing my yellow motorcycle’s raincoat which I brought from UkayM and Ah Huang was eating with her umbrellas covering her while we slurped down our noodles. (to be continued)
